Debra Firestone, MD.

Debra Firestone, M.D. started her private practice at The Eye Center in 2000. She was born and raised in New York City and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Binghamton University. She then attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she graduated with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She subsequently completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital. While at New Jersey Medical School for her ophthalmology residency, Dr. Firestone received an award for excellence in residency and also served as Chief Resident in Ophthalmology.

In addition to the Eye Centers affiliation with Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Dr. Firestone remains a member of the faculty at New Jersey Medical School where she works with students and residents as a clinical instructor.

Dr. Firestone has advanced training in all aspects of general ophthalmology. Including the medical and surgical management of cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetes as well as routine eye care. She performs small incision cataract surgery and will be joining Dr. Giuseffi as part of The Eye Centers refractive surgery division.
